9 'Must Have' Sports Equipment for School PE Lessons

Physical education lessons, more commonly known as PE, are a legal requirement in schools across the UK; for both primary and secondary schools. With PE teachers delivering lessons which provide exercise, whilst developing team working skills, and sportsmanship. But in order for teachers to deliver these lessons, sports equipment is vital. 

Most schools will have a ‘PE cupboard’ where all sports equipment is kept, but over time equipment can be misplaced and become unusable. It could be time to complete a stock check on your sports equipment to identify what needs to be replenished. 

But what sports equipment do you need for a primary or high school? We’ve compiled a list of the ‘must-have’ 9 pieces of equipment you need:

 

Balls 

 

Many sports and PE lessons involve using a ball of some kind - whether this is netball, basketball, or football. For some sports, only 1 ball per team or game is needed, but for other sports, 1 ball is needed per 2 people, for example, tennis.
